UW-Eau Claire recently hosted their 2019 annual national sales competition, “The Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up” where 60+ of the best marketing and sales students across the nation came to compete for the title of “Best Overall Sales Person”.
On top of being a competition to find the nation’s best collegiate salesperson, the Sales Warm-Up connects college students with corporate recruiters who share their passion for sales as a profession. It also provides a venue where faculty can network and exchange best practices with one another.
This year, Alec Arndet from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater took home the prestigious title of “Best Overall Sales Person”. Riley Smith from Baylor University and Chandler Boy from the University of North Alabama took home 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively.
To view each contestants’ sales presentations, UW-Eau Claire utilized the VALT video system. By using VALT, the competition’s judges were able to perfectly observe every aspect of each competitor’s presentation through the use of 1080p video and HD quality audio.
The VALT video observation and recording system is the perfect solution for sales and business professors looking for a way to record and review their students’ presentations. Recording a presentation is as easy as pushing a button and all video recordings are automatically stored in a secure and searchable database to be accessed at any time. Videos can be thoroughly reviewed by slowing down, rewinding, creating clips of, and marking important aspects of a video. Recordings are saved in mp4 formats so saving and sending videos are an easy task.
