IVS will be exhibiting in San Antonio for this years AOTA

Intelligent Video Solutions (IVS) will be exhibiting at the 2022 American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Conference March 31st - April 2nd. We will giving away one free registration to this event, click the link here to enter a chance to win.

Providing education and best practices for occupational therapy professionals, AOTA will host its annual conference, Inspire, in San Antonio, Texas this year. AOTA Inspire offers ways for professionals to come together, engage with speakers and content. either in person or virtually.  This commitment to advancing occupational therapy practice and education is why we believe the AOTA is a prime showcase for our video observation and recording platform, VALT.

VALT, is a purpose-built A/V platform for research, training and developing skills. Using video has been shown to dramatically improve the ability to teach and educate students studying to treat patients with loss of basic motor skills or communication disorders, especially in simulation and clinical skills labs.

Higher education speech and language clinics are having great success in improving the ability to educate and teach clinical pathology students with VALT for recording therapy sessions. It employs an innovative and easy to use software application that helps clinical  programs utilize video to increase the quality and effectiveness of their educational programs. Using affordable IP camera technology, the VALT solution is widely used for occupational and speech therapy training.

Many occupational therapy clinics are using the built-in scheduler feature of the software, which allows users to pre-enter their clinic schedules into the system, enabling VALT to begin recording s clinical sessions automatically and stop at the time indicated by the user. All video recording sessions are tagged with “session data” which assists in categorization and allows users to locate any individual session with ease.

Once installed, VALT dramatically improves the user experience by freeing up both faculty and students to view live and recorded video on any part of the network for which they have permissions. Departments are able to reclaim physical space that otherwise was dedicated to equipment or often underutilized physical observation areas.

See how Texas Women's University uses VALT specifically in their Speech Pathology Department, in the Health Science Center Building a student based training facility which houses the physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing and the stroke center, to help train graduate level speech pathology students working with patients who have had strokes. TWU stroke center had 13 rooms they needed to record, VALT made that infrastructure simple with one server where they could utilize their existing infrastructure. It gave their observers the ability to watch sessions in live time from their offices with critical features such as precise sound syncing and camera zooming to get detailed information for review and feedback.

See how IVS can improve your outcomes in occupational therapy. If not, schedule a time to talk with us today to get a personalized demonstration to show to see how IVS can improve your learning and research outcomes.
