The Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders membership includes over 330 communication sciences and disorders programs from the United States, Brazil, Canada, China, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand. These programs offer undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in communication sciences and disorders.
The CAPCSD organization brings together educational opportunities in Webinars, eBooks, eLearning courses and white papers to support those pursuing communication sciences and disorders degrees as well as those professional development for administrators , faculty and clinic directors within these programs. They hold an annual conference with over 500 participants annually for networking, collaborating, and exhibiting the latest practicum and accreditation methods. and other knowledgeable insights to the discipline.
IVS will be exhibiting our premiere observation and recording software platform, VALT. A purpose-built platform for research, training and developing skills. VALT is utilized for clinical communicative disorder treatment observation sessions for training and review of multiple students from multiple rooms.
Instructors and students can view clinical skills training sessions at any time using nothing more than a simple Internet browser, such as Firefox or Chrome with proper permissions. A standard VALT installation holds storage space for around 16,000 hours of high-definition video though larger installs are available if needed. Supporting dozens of cameras and microphones simultaneously providing detailed assessment without the need for an observer present and while the students are hardly aware that they are being observed.
A simple platform that makes scheduling and managing videos quick and easy to use. The VALT software provides annotation/mark features to identify important points in recordings for future review and documentation. Because many of our customers must be fully compliant with HIPAA, all VALT video is fully secured, ensuring only authorized persons may access and view video sessions.
