The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. The association represents nearly 1,200 2-year, associate degree-granting institutions and more than 12 million students.
AACC strives to:
- Provide a national voice and advocacy for the community college mission.
- Serve as a national information resource.
- Create opportunities for peer networking and interaction at all levels, professional initiatives, dialogue, and community-building.
- Facilitate collaboration among AACC staff and stakeholders.
- Encourage a shared commitment to the community college movement.
- Offer leadership and career development opportunities.
The AACC Annual Convention is the only convention dedicated to shining a national spotlight on community colleges and the trends and issues impacting the sector. At the convention, attendees and exhibitors have the chance to network with colleagues from more than 46 states, the District of Columbia, and five countries who care about advancing the community college mission.
This March, AACC celebrates a century of success and will set the vision for community colleges for the next 5 years. In celebration of this significant milestone, AACC is adding faculty education to the convention program and the show floor. This new focus will bring all stakeholders of community colleges together.
